Baker and Claudia Afshar Unveil Mediterranean-Inspired Furniture Collection for Fall 2026
Legacy furnishings brand Baker is pleased to introduce the Claudia Afshar for Baker Collection, a dynamic 37-piece line inspired by the acclaimed designer’s international travels and memories along Spain’s coastline. Offering a refined and transitional interpretation of European elegance through a contemporary lens, the collection marks Afshar’s debut collaboration with Baker.
A preview of the Claudia Afshar for Baker Collection was unveiled during What’s New, What’s Next at the Baker Showroom in the New York Design Center at 200 Lexington Avenue, joining the celebration of the building’s 100th anniversary. The collection will make its official debut at Fall High Point Market in October 2026 and will be available to the trade via Baker showrooms worldwide thereafter.
The Claudia Afshar for Baker Collection features a stylish assortment of seating, tables, beds, and case pieces, celebrating rich woods, tactile textiles, layered finishes, and thoughtfully considered details that create a sense of warmth and depth. Designed with both residential and hospitality environments in mind, each piece bridges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary living, pairing natural materials and refined proportions with bold, sculptural forms and unexpected details. The result is an expressive, fashion-forward collection that feels equally at home in classic and modern interiors.

Alto Swivel Lounge Chair
The Alto Swivel Lounge Chair is an exemplary work of Baker craftsmanship, with a stainless base in volcano grey finish bolstering a seat made in American black burl veneer. The chair features a sleek, elevated look that radiates confidence and distinction in its style and design.
Basalto Sideboard
The Basalto Sideboard creates a feeling of rhythm and permanence, featuring an organic repetition of shapes in a fluid, modern silhouette. Crafted in walnut veneer with American black burl, the sideboard also offers bronze glass shelves with a mirrored top.
Riva Counter Stool
Inspired by the Italian for “edge” or “boundary,” the Riva Counter Stool’s signature feature is its swooping back support that feels lively, yet refined. This elegant stool is crafted from oak veneer and stainless steel in a volcano grey finish.
Terra Cocktail Tables
Fluid and organic, the Terra Cocktail Tables merge an elliptical tabletop with a curved base, all in walnut veneer with a dramatic dark finish. The main surface features an unpredictable cut pattern with a lively, modern elegance. With three sizes (small, medium, and large), they are designed to stand alone or layer together, and can be clustered to create a larger, more dramatic composition.
Anello Dining Chair
Expertly envisioned by designer Claudia Afshar, the signature Anello Dining Chair takes its name from the Italian word for “ring.” Its natural reeding and walnut frame lend an elegant and tailored look.
Coinciding with the debut of the Claudia Afshar for Baker Collection, Baker-McGuire will also introduce Afshar’s latest collaboration with Mehraban Rugs, available through Baker- McGuire and Mehraban showrooms worldwide. Designed to complement the furniture collection, the new rugs introduce a bolder palette, richer textures, and a more expressive exploration of form. Sculptural motifs, organic lines, and unexpected combinations of colour and texture come together in a collection that feels both confident and timeless.
