CHRISTOPHER FARR CLOTH INTRODUCES STRATA, A NEW FABRIC COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE WORLD’S GREAT DESERTS
Renowned for its dedication to colour, texture and craftsmanship, Christopher Farr Cloth (716) is proud to present Strata, a new collection of woven and velvet fabrics inspired by the deserts of the world.

Rich in texture and understated in luxury, Strata takes its palette from the earth itself: warm, sunbaked tones drawn from sand, stone and shifting horizon. Each design considers a specific desert landscape not as an empty expanse, but as a place of record, shaped by wind, time and geology. The collection consists of eight woven, velvet and print fabrics, alongside two wallpaper designs, marking a new chapter for Cloth Studio’s in-house design work.
The collection was photographed within the historic rooms of Two Temple Place, London; its interior is lined in veined onyx marble and carved wood detailing finished in gold. The pairing offered a setting of comparable material richness and craft, the fabrics’ woven textures sitting against surfaces shaped by decades of stonework and gilding.
“Every collection has a starting point, a reference we return to again and again. For Strata, it was nature: the vast dunes of the Sahara, and the stillness of desert landscapes that I find endlessly compelling, the way texture and colour hold centuries of change within a single surface. I wanted to translate that patience into cloth: warmth, weight, and the quiet history written into every woven thread.” - Michal Silver, Creative Director.
