FREDERIC Magazine Announces The 2026 It List

Dara Caponigro, Editor in Chief of FREDERIC magazine, announces the recipients of FREDERIC’s fourth annual It List Awards. The Class of 2026 includes interior designers Claes Dalén, Danielette Dennis, Samantha Feuer of Norris Studio, Todd Hellmuth, Frances Jackson, Michael Joerres, Brian Jones, Brooke Michie, Georgie Stogdon, Alex Yanke of Westbourne Studio, and Bob van Zonneveld.

In keeping with FREDERIC’s philosophy that discovering new talent is as important as celebrating industry icons, the magazine’s editorial team scours the globe each year to find the most promising and exciting up-and-coming designers. The newest It List honorees hail from

London, Amsterdam, Stockholm, New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, Atlanta, and Tennessee.

The It List Class of 2026 will be recognized in Volume XXII of FREDERIC magazine, available on newsstands from November 1, 2026. Each award recipient will receive a $10,000 stipend from The FREDERIC Fund, established to support gifted designers early in their careers.

The designers will also be celebrated at the annual It List Awards gala on Wednesday, October 7, at Nine Orchard in New York City. Hosted by FREDERIC and sponsored by Matouk, JANUS et Cie, Pooky and Schumacher, the event is a gathering of the most influential figures in the worlds of interior design and style. Esteemed interior designer Bunny Williams will serve as the emcee for the night. The evening’s honorees will each be presented with the It List award, a bronze oak leaf, which nods to the way nature transforms raw materials into energy, and symbolizes the transformational power of design.

"I'm so proud that in just a few short years, the It List issue and awards gala have become an industry pillar—a much-anticipated showcase of emerging talent that even the most established designers look forward to," says Caponigro. "It has been so gratifying to watch the careers of our It List designers take off after our endorsement; that impact is exactly why we do this. We are so honored that Bunny Williams will join us as emcee; no one understands the importance of mentoring the next generation better than she does. At FREDERIC, discovery has always been at the heart of what we do, and we are thrilled that designers at every stage see us as the place to be published."

One of the design industry’s most celebrated tastemakers, Caponigro has long been a leader in identifying and recognizing the next generation of talent. Prior to launching FREDERIC, she served as Editor-in-Chief of Veranda, Style Director of Domino, Design and Decoration Director of Elle Décor, and Decoration Director of House Beautiful.
