Introducing Collage by the Rug Company
The Rug Company launches Collage, a new in-house collection of four designs. Inspired by the abstract and contemporary colours and motifs that marked a departure from impressionist realism, these rugs celebrate expression and encourage individual interpretation.
The beauty of this collection lies in its literal translation of ‘art for the floor. The collaged effect is achieved through varying pile heights, materials and shapes that echo the form of the motif. Taking inspiration from a variety of abstract artists, each rug in this collection offers a unique colour palette.
The Rug Company is now Positive Luxury accredited and has achieved The Butterfly Mark, an international trust mark awarded to brands that have the highest standard of ESG+ performance. Each rug is meticulously handknotted from exceptional qualities of wool and silk by The Rug Company’s master craftspeople in Kathmandu, Nepal.
This collection is available from The Rug Company showrooms and therugcompany.com from June 2024. In addition to the stock pieces available, each design can be tailored to suit the requirements of both
residential and contract spaces. The collection can be ordered as wall-to-wall carpet or as a stair runner and can be adapted in size, shape, pile height or colour.
