Quarry by Merida
Radiating outward in concentric rectangles, Quarry evokes the quiet majesty of stone—both in its raw, textured state and its refined, architectural form. Some rectangles reveal a pebbled surface, crafted from crimped wool, recalling the chiseled face of freshly cut stone where subtle shadows animate the surface. Others are woven with tightly spun yarns, creating a smooth plane that reflects light with the calm elegance of finished marble.
The play between textures in Quarry captures the same magic seen in different lights throughout the day, when the light reveals beauty equally across rough-hewn walls and polished facades. Fine lines trace the outlines of each motif, much like the lead work in stained glass, adding a sense of playful structure and definition to the composition.
As the season shifts and the sun climbs higher, Quarry reflects how surfaces awaken in changing light—bringing depth and quiet drama to every detail.
