Quiet Luxury with Verellen
Tapping into her Belgian roots, Sabine Verellen shares the magic of simplicity without forsaking personality. Visit the expanded showroom on the 8th floor to experience the beauty of Verellen.
Verellen’s gentle footprint, featuring barely-there palettes and clean, simple and comfortable silhouettes, has made a big impact on the design industry—thanks in large part to co-founder and creative director Sabine Verellen. The Belgian native has created a well-articulated vernacular throughout the brand that reverberates to every textured and plush touchpoint. With roots grounded in the less-is-more charm of Antwerp, Belgium, and nurtured by the vibrant energy of High Point, North Carolina, Sabine’s influence is palpable in every detail, from concept to creation. Alongside her partner, Tom Verellen, Sabine has spearheaded a cozy-meets-chic revolution in the world of home furnishings, elevating the brand to new heights of sophistication and innovation. With a passionate team of artisans by her side, Sabine continues to shape the landscape of contemporary design, one timeless piece at a time. Here, we went off the cuff with the creative director to find out how she defines design, where she finds her creative space, and the perseverance of women.
OFF THE CUFF with… Sabine Verellen, Creative Director of Verellen
Mantra… Be and Let Be
I’m a firm believer in… Always be kind.
The world needs more…tolerance.
My partner … is my compass. I would feel a little lost without him.
Working with my partner is… interesting, never a dull moment.
Design is… very personal. A home needs to reflect its owner personality. Design is intuitive. Design is inviting, and inspiring. It’s not just about what you see, it’s about the emotions we feel when we walk into the space.
200 Lex gives me…a creative space to be proud of and the opportunity to share it with fellow creators.
I can’t live without my…woodburning fireplace.
For me, good design looks like… warm, welcoming, comforting, textural, a blend of old and new, and always good lighting.
Women are…a force to be reckoned with.
Women can…persevere.
Women will…be equal to men.
I am…genuine.
