The Christopher Farr Cloth Collaboration with Olaf Hajek

Renowned for its dedication to color, pattern, and artistry, Christopher Farr Cloth is proud to collaborate with German Artist Olaf Hajek on a collection bursting with whimsy and playful charm. The collection can be seen in the new Christopher Farr Cloth showroom at 200 Lex, Suite 716.

Celebrated for his vibrant, surreal illustrations and collaborations with the likes of Hermès and Fortnum & Mason, Olaf createsrichly imagined worlds of flora and fauna, shaped by imagination and visual storytelling. His expressive imagery pairs seamlessly with Christopher Farr Cloth’s instantly recognisable palette and meticulous attention to colour, making this collaboration a natural and intuitive meeting of artistic languages.

Marking the first time his artwork has been translated into wallcoverings, the collection comprises of two printed linens and four wallpapers, including River of Joy, Dancing Parade, Dancing Vines, and Trees of Wonder. Together, the designs transform interiors into vibrant storyscapes where art, nature, and imagination come together in joyful harmony.

About the Designer

Olaf Hajek, a German-born artist based in Berlin, is internationally renowned for his vivid and surreal illustrations that weave together nature, folklore, and cultural motifs from around the world. Trained in graphic design, he has built a distinctive visual language where flora, fauna, archaic symbols, and contemporary themes merge in richly detailed, colorful tableaux. Influenced by African traditions, Indian temple art, South American folklore, and pop culture, his work transforms mental images gathered through travel and observation into enchanting patterns and scenes. His work is exhibited globally from London to Cape Town, regularly collaborating with the likes of Hermès and Fortnum & Mason. Olaf brings a unique artistic vision to textile design, infusing fabrics with storytelling, imagination, and cultural resonance.
