Welcome Peter Dunham Home and Garden to 200 Lex!
Celebrated interiors, textiles, and furnishing designer Peter Dunham has opened Peter Dunham Home & Garden, his first brick and mortar location in New York City. The showroom, located in Suite 715, houses Dunham’s two product brands, Hollywood at Home and Peter Dunham textiles, under one roof.
Occupying roughly 3,500 square feet, Dunham intertwines made-to-order and in-stock furnishings with vintage finds sourced around the world. Accessories like handwoven bedcovers, stitched leather trays, artisan ceramics, and decorative pillows by the dozen are available to grab and go. Textiles for indoors and out, wallpapers, and grasscloth are on full display with patterned surfaces designed to inspire.
A corner showroom was a major selling point, but Dunham’s decision to take up residence at 200 Lex was no impulsive move—he had been planning to open a space a year earlier, only to get cold feet after the writer’s strike in Los Angeles. Then, the double showroom opened up, and he couldn’t resist any longer. “A lot of it was to do with the space, but to be honest, that’s only part of it,” he says. “A big percentage of it is [NYDC president and CEO] Jim Druckman and his team, and how he’s been able to really focus the building into a premier destination for design.”
