Prime Gallery

PRIME GALLERY was established in 2000, and opened for business with a shop in the hamlet of Southold, on the North Fork of Long Island. From the beginning, PRIME focused on vintage lighting and furnishings by Mid-century designers such as James Mont, Karl Springer, Tommi Parzinger, and Philip and Kelvin Laverne. In addition, PRIME features the paintings of gallery artist and author/illustrator Lynn Curlee. After a few years PRIME moved to a much larger location in Greenport, another town on the East End. In 2012, PRIME relocated to California with a new shop in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, and participated annually in the famous Palm Springs Modernism Show. In 2016, PRIME GALLERY returned to the east coast and currently occupies a large space in the Gallery on the Tenth Floor, at the NEW YORK DESIGN CENTER.
