NYSID Celebrates Its 2021 Annual Gala
This week, the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID) hosted its very-first virtual gala to support scholarships for NYSID students and the future leaders of the interior design industry, hosted by decorated designer and NYSID trustee Alexa Hampton.
Icons in the industry from the country’s top designers and editors to design brand leaders joined from all over the country to support the school’s largest fundraiser for student scholarships. The funds raised through the special event support NYSID’s General Scholarship Fund and newly established Diversity Scholarship Fund. Support in any amount helps to defray the cost of tuition for NYSID talented and hard-working students, enabling them to receive the best possible interior design education. To donate, visit nysid.edu.
In addition to the scholarship funds raised, the event recognized the accomplishments of three extraordinary designers: Alex Papachristidis, Corey Damen Jenkins, and Nina Farmer.
Alex Papachristidis was presented the Albert Hadley Lifetime Achievement Award; Corey Damen Jenkins was awarded the Larry Kravet Design Industry Leadership Award; and 2002 NYSID-alum Nina Farmer was presented the Rising Star Award.
The New York Design Center is proud to continue to support this important industry event and sends our sincerest congratulations to this year’s honorees! To view the 2021 virtual gala, visit https://www.nysidgala2021.org/.
