Quilt
Quilt is a hand-tufted rug in pure wool and linen, where its surface is both cut and looped to different heights that meet in patches of color. Kasthall designer Ellinor Eliasson found inspiration from various sources. One was from the exquisite works of designer icons Anna Albers and Sheila Hicks, particularly their complex textile designs where they combined shapes and colors to create new nuances and shades. Another source of inspiration was the Boro textiles, a Japanese textile family used in the 19th century. The result is an innovative and unique rug, which is both durable and elegant.
