New Collections from de Le Cuona
De le Cuona is proud to announce the introduction of Hemp to it’s repertoire of natural fabrics. They are also celebrating the sheer season- mastering the art of beautiful barely-there fabrics in interiors! Read more about both collections below!
HEMP JOINS THE NATURAL FABRIC FAMILY
Hemp is one of the most eco-friendly fabrics on the market, providing environmental benefits, and is beautiful in its aesthetics. Famous for linen, de Le Cuona introduces hemp. Illustrating how the brand uses ancient fibers to innovate in the present, for the good of the future, hemp is a yarn that will grow to become another loved de Le Cuona natural fabric. It’s naturally soft, strong and sustainable. Beauty and craftsmanship mean everything to this esteemed fabric house and these new cloths are both resilient and refined.
Carmen is inspired by vintage French textiles and expertly woven in Italy. A special dyeing method gives the elegant sun-bleached, striae effect. The sateen weave structure enhances its durability and lends a subtle lustre to its surface, for use as both beautiful curtaining and strong upholstery. Crafted from 100% hemp, this fabric has a rub test of 20,000.
Portrait is a basketweave composition that gives it both a dense structure and classic elegance. Perfect for crafting tailored curtains, blinds, and upholstery, its heavy drape and dry hand ensure a luxurious finish. Made from 100% hemp with a robust rub test of 20,000. A neutral palette with tints of color, resembling watercolor portraits.
Understated and elegantly refined, Carmen and Portrait are textiles that not only feel comfortable and luxurious but make us feel empowered knowing that our interior choices can have a positive impact on the world too.
THE SHEER SEASON
Lately fashion has left little to the imagination with barely-there fabrics and interiors are now mastering this art. de Le Cuona embraces the sheer season with two of the finest and quite different sheers, Aria and Chantilly.
Chantilly is a filigree-style sheer created from working with the finest flax. The fibers are crafted into a specialist yarn with delicate knots to create the lace-like texture and to give a sense of movement. A double-width sheer, woven in Italy.
Aria a sublime paisley sheer that deftly combines fine wool and silk fibers in equal measure. It is jacquard woven in tonal colors to create a subtle large-scale pattern that dissipates when light passes through. A double-width sheer, woven in Italy.
These fabrics are part of Nature’s Opera, a range of linen, hemp, silk, velvet and wool. A virtuoso performance in craftsmanship, where expert artisans work in harmony with the world’s finest responsibly grown fibers.
