Ngala Trading Adds Outdoor Furniture Category to its Offering with New Supplier Douglas & Douglas
Ngala Trading introduces its first line of outdoor furniture with new South African-based supplier Douglas & Douglas. Douglas & Douglas is a home furnishing and design brand founded by husband-and-wife duo Wendy-Lee and Ryan Douglas, who work within their design atelier and neighboring production facility in Durban, South Africa. The Douglas & Douglas team creates furniture that is authentic, distinctive, and charismatic, inspired by the raw beauty of Africa.
The outdoor introduction will include two initial collections, Woven and Ananas, with the intent of future expansions.
The Woven collection is made of 100% recyclable, handwoven, fibre-cane made in South Africa. The knowledge, care, and skills each artisan puts into handweaving the designs ensures that every Douglas & Douglas furniture piece is finished with exceptional quality. The finished design gives a similar appearance to woven wicker, with weatherproof durability and a 2-year warranty against fading, cracking, and peeling. This collection includes a dining table, dining chair, bar stool, and counter stools. The table is available in Palm or Spice colorway, while the chairs are available in four monochromatic colors and three subtle two-toned mixed colorways
The Ananas collection is made of laser-cut stainless steel and marine-grade stainless steel with a UV protectant powder coated finish in five colors: spice, amarula, admiral, ebony, and olive. The cushions come in four fabric options with zipper closure for ease of removal and cleaning. This collection is available in a chair, sofa, lounger/daybed, and ottoman, and comes with a two-year warranty against color fading on the powder coat finish and stainless-steel frame rusting.

The introductory Douglas & Douglas outdoor collection starts at $855 and is made to order with a 10–12-week lead time.
