In occasion of the meaningful event “Women in Design,” at the New York Design Center, we celebrate the multitalented Italian contemporary designer Alessandra Baldereschi through the whimsical exclusive collection “Flowers in Wonderland” produced by Multiforme “Light up your Dreams” showcased in our women co-owned showroom, Cosulich Interiors & Antiques. This interactive glass flower lamp embodies feminine creativity and storytelling, drawing inspiration from the enchanting world of Alice in Wonderland. A harmonious blend of artistry, functionality and individualization, the piece transports us to a space where reality meets fantasy. The design features a clear glass vase nestled in a sleek white metal frame that can be lacquered in any custom color. This vase delicately cradles a blown Murano glass hand-crafted flower that when into contact, magically illuminates, revealing a stunning interplay of shades and tones. The collection is customizable, with a selection of colors available and a larger version accommodating up to five flowers of your choice, making it as versatile as it is enchanting. Alessandra Baldereschi, the creative force behind this project, is a celebrated Italian designer renowned for her whimsical yet functional works. With a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Domus Academy in Milan, she refined her craft through a residency in Japan, developing exquisite tableware designs. Her versatile portfolio includes collaborations with iconic brands like Swatch Bijoux, Seletti, De Castelli, and Mogg, spanning furniture, decorative objects, and fashion accessories. Baldereschi works reflect her beauty in and out, through her unique ability to infuse everyday items with dreamlike charm and wonder, earning her accolades such as an honorable mention at the prestigious Compasso d’Oro ADI. Based in Milan, her studio continues to create timeless objects that balance artistry and practicality, offering an enduring feminine vision to the design world.
