Caroline Rennequin at Schumacher
Vibrant, playful, and utterly original, French artist Caroline Rennequin’s debut collection for Schumacher embodies everything we love about the Paris-based painter’s work, which has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world and featured in imaginative boutique designs for luxury fashion brands ranging from Isabel Marant and Annick Goutal to Jérôme Dreyfuss.
This collection draws its inspiration from an extraordinary series of Rennequin’s gouache flower paintings, now translated into printed fabrics and wallpapers. Suffused with sublime color and a graphic 1970s spirit, each design is beautifully crafted to retain the clean lines and nuanced tonalities of the artist’s original hand-painted work.
