Explore the Offerings of Delbert Arthur at 200 Lex
Showcasing impeccable design from top French, American and Korean artists, Delbert Arthur invites you inside their rotating galleries of work.
With two galleries newly unveiled on the 4th Floor of 200 Lex, step inside a world of masterful craftmanship and innovative design.
Gallery I in Suite 419 unveils the work of Garnier & Linker. Two French creators from Paris whose work is about giving contemporary design to rare materials and savoir-faire. Alabaster, obsidian, volcanic stone, bronze, plaster and cast glass are used, and all pieces are handmade in small series by French master craftsmen. As designers, they get their inspiration from decorative arts and sculpture, creating pure-shaped forms revealing their materiality. With their background in interior design, they offer objects that meet all demands of modern interiors, with bespoke options according to architects’ and decorators’ needs.
Gallery II in Suite 423 is a true rotating gallery, with works from artists from around the world showcasing new designs and pieces from their collections. Find more info about each of the artists below.
Ormond Editions
Created in collaboration with Garnier & Linker, the collection Romane was launched at Collectible in Brussels, then during Milan Design Week in 2019. This collection draws its strength from the combination of techniques oriented towards the working of rare wood and stone with patinated bronze.
Avram Rusu Studio
An architect, designer, and artist, Andreea Avram Rusu founded Brooklyn-based Avram Rusu Studio in 2004, channeling fine art and the practice of good design to produce original lighting and furniture collections intended to engage the senses and invite interaction. The foundation of everything she makes are materials that are true to the earth—found in nature and always exquisite. To own one of her creations is to possess a living legacy, made to transcend time.
Brent Warr
Brent Warr is a furniture designer/maker specializing in sculptural art, collectible furniture, and lighting, using plaster as his main medium. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, he uses unconventional materials typically not found in the use of furniture and lighting design. Brent views that his designs and art should make others feel a bit uncomfortable or form an opinion. Pushing them to view something in a new light or helping them reach a more imaginative part of themselves.
Brooklyn Ikebana
Lighting and furniture design, music composition, creative writing, sculpture and photography define the creative output of multi- disciplinary artist John Nickles. In his sculptural practice, which Nickles considers an outsider form of ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arrangement in accordance with set rules, the artist uses a highly curated selection of unconventional plant life and vessels to create moments of composed, unorthodox beauty.
Hyejeong Kim
A Korean artist born in Japan, Kim’s move back to her homeland at the age of 11 informed her identity as a creator. Discovering ceramics at EWHA’s College of Art & Design in Seoul, she continued her training in both Tokyo and the UK, interweaving the ceramic cultures from Northeast Asia and Britain into her own unique work.
Visit Delbert Arthur on the 4th Floor of 200 Lex in Suites 419 & 423 and join them on November 9th at 4pm to meet the artists themselves.
