Broadcasted live from London, the New York Design Center, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour and the Horticultural Society of New York presented a special episode of View from the Veranda with renowned British garden designer Jinny Blom on Monday, May 17th, to celebrate London Design Week and NYCxDesign Design Week 2021.
Moderated by Veranda’s Steele Marcoux, the two discussed what spark’s Jinny’s creativity as a landscape designer, what defines her work, and why styles may change but the principles of her work remain the same.
Jinny Blom is an award-winning landscape designer who works on both public and private projects, gently pushing the boundaries of creative and intelligent design. She has designed five RHS Chelsea Flower Show gardens, including ones for HRH The Prince of Wales and Prince Harry. What defines her work is her skill with planting and her ability to create a garden that is tailored to its environment, from romantic and naturalistic to more formal.
