200 Lex’s newest showroom, Wexler Gallery, offers a focused look at contemporary design by both established artists and the emerging talent of today. Featuring functional and sculptural furniture as well as decorative art objects by artists who are known to push the bounds of their medium.
Challenging traditional labels in the worlds of art and design, Wexler Gallery exhibits artwork that coexists in multiple disciplines and traditions. Questioning and testing the boundaries of craft, design and fine art, Wexler Gallery aims to present work that consistently celebrates formal innovation and conceptual content as much as aesthetic beauty.
Currently on display is “Framework: Selected Prints and Works on Paper 1971 – 2010.” The exhibition runs from July 6 – August 21. “Framework” is an exhibition of selected fine art prints and works on paper by internationally acclaimed artists. The exhibition can be viewed online or by appointment in the Wexler Gallery at 200 Lex, suite 413. The exhibit features esteemed artists: Jasper Johns, Barbara Kruger, Sol LeWitt, Larry Rivers, Richard Serra, Sean Scully, Robert Motherwell, Graciela Rodo Boulanger, Jim Dine, Roberto Matta, and Red Grooms.
