Yali Glass at Vica by Annabelle Selldorf
For Yali Glass, glass doesn’t have to be a detail—it can be the central component that transforms a simple design into a work of art.
The Isola Coffee Table embodies this philosophy. Handcrafted in cast glass, its sculptural form draws inspiration from the organic shapes of the Venetian lagoon, where a substantial block of glass appears to hover like frozen water atop a minimal base in painted inox steel or burnished iron.
Each table is created through a carefully choreographed process. Molten glass is poured into a steel mold, lightly worked by hand, and then transferred to a cooling oven, where it gradually reaches room temperature. Precision, timing, and the expertise of skilled Venetian artisans define every stage of its creation.
Founded by Marie-Rose Kahane, Yali Glass brings the artistry of Venetian glassmaking into contemporary living through furniture, lighting, and tabletop objects. Across the collection, centuries-old techniques are reimagined through modern forms that celebrate the beauty and versatility of this material.
The Isola Coffee Table is on view at the Vica by Annabelle Selldorf showroom, in Suite 420, alongside a curated selection of objects from the Yali Glass collection.
