Angela Family (Armchair, Stools, Lounge Chair)

The Angela family of chairs and stools, designed by Aristeu Pires, is handcrafted from sustainably harvested Brazilian hardwood featuring a leather back that mimics the flexibility and support of a hammock to hold the spine just so and solid metal hardware providing luxurious accents. All of the chairs provide great comfort and stability to occupants of all shapes and sizes with arms are just long enough to rest the elbow and allow easy access in and out of the seat. The Angela line is a tribute in memoriam to Architect Angela Basso, friend, promoter, and instigator of the Aristeu Pires Design legacy. Angela was the person who most encouraged Aristeu to enroll in the Museu da Casa Brasileira contest that won the first grand prize for the Gisele armchair in 2007, despite the designer’s doubts about entering.
