Blackberry Farm Design Summit
Blackberry Farm, the renowned resort in Walland, Tennessee is known for its beautiful setting and its exceptional hospitality. With such great care taken to provide guests with exceptional experiences, the property has always developed iconic events making it a natural fit for a design summit.
Co-hosted by Creative Director of Schumacher and Editor in Chief of Frederic, Dara Caponigro, legendary NYC-based interior designer, Alexa Hampton, and New York Design Center’s President/CEO Jim Druckman, along with Mary Celeste Beall, Proprietor of Blackberry Farm properties and Christine Carney who heads up Blackberry Farm Design.
The goal of the summit was to create and small and interactive event to explore ideas around design. With experts offering great information for guests to take away, it was equally as important to provide a setting for the designers to speak to each other and ask questions about designing, running a business, getting involved in the industry, and seeking inspiration. Over wonderful food, the best wine, and Blackberry Farm’s exquisite atmosphere, the intimate group of designers, hosts and team at Blackberry Farm shared experiences, advice and questions about design and the industry. The inaugural summit was such a success, the Blackberry Farm team intends to make it a yearly event.
