Kips Bay Decorator Show House Opens Milestone 50th Edition in Greenwich Village

Last Monday, the long-awaited 50th Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York opened its doors to the public at 20 W 12th St, marking the first time the Show House has taken place in Downtown Manhattan. Twenty-one talented designers and architects were enlisted to transform the extraordinary townhouse into a masterpiece of design, offering visitors an opportunity to explore the latest trends and cutting-edge concepts on display until its close on October 19th. “This is a monumental moment – not only in the history of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, but also within the design community. We are deeply grateful to the members of our community who have supported the Show House and our mission over the years ,” said James Druckman, President of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.

Since its inception in 1973, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has raised over $30 million for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, which serves more than 11,000 children and teens throughout the Bronx with essential afterschool and enrichment programs. Each year, the Show House welcomes over 15,000 visitors and garners significant national media attention. It has become a must-see cultural event for the design industry, tastemakers, and supporters alike. The chairs for this year’s Show House include Alexa Hampton, Bunny Williams, Jamie Drake and Andrew Torrey.

“This event is more than a showcase of top design talent, it’s our biggest fundraising event of the year for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club”, said Daniel Quintero, the Executive Director of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. “The amount of dedication from each designer and our sponsors is truly remarkable. Each team shares our vision of making this year’s Show House the most impactful one yet”.
