SAVOIR ANNOUNCES NEW SHOWROOM AT 200 LEXINGTON IN NEW YORK DESIGN CENTER
The heritage bedmaker’s new NYC location will showcase Savoir’s core designs and offer their signature bespoke design services.
Savoir, the British bedmaker with a 120-year legacy of crafting the finest handmade beds, officially joined the U.S.’s premier design destination at 200 Lexington Avenue in March 2026. Located in Suite 611 on the sixth floor, the new space will present Savoir’s signature designs, from the Virginia and Ian beds to the No.1 through No. 5 mattresses, complemented by a curated selection of design collaborations.
Spanning 2,000 square feet, the showroom will display up to eight beds at a time alongside a curated selection of furnishings, all unified by a warm palette of natural oak and burnished brass hardware. For the design of the space, Savoir tapped Hannah Carter Owers, Founder of Carter Owers Studio, to create a showroom that reflects residential sensibilities and allows clients and designers to thoughtfully interact with each product. Having previously led the design of Savoir’s Mayfair flagship in London, Hannah integrated throughlines within the design process that nod to the brand’s global aesthetic while reinforcing its elevated client experience.
Upon entry, visitors will be welcomed by a curved fluted oak reception. On desk and introduced to Savoir’s design service through craft displays that reveal mattress artistry and model distinctions. Offset screen walls create private consulta. On areas, appointed with fabric swatches and finishes displayed on custom furnishings designed as collaborative workspaces for designers and clients. An adjacent display of pillows, duvets, and mattress toppers offers a complete view of Savoir’s linen and accessory collection.
Founded in 1905, Savoir has built its reputation on exceptional craftsmanship and the use of the finest natural materials, with each bed made to order by master artisans who dedicate between 30 and 120 hours to every piece. Long regarded for its heritage and bespoke approach, the brand today serves a global design clientele while remaining committed to excellence at every level. Since acquiring The SavoyBedworks in 1997 and reestablishing it as Savoir, Company Director & Owner, Alistair Hughes, has overseen international expansion to more than 13 showrooms.
“The opening of our 200 Lexington showroom marks an important milestone in strengthening our presence within the design community here on the East Coast. New York has long been recognized as an epicenter of design, and a dedicated space within the Design Center will allow our team to work even more closely with talented designers and architects,” Alistair shares.
Collaborators including the Stella bed by Nicole Fuller and the Seventy Five speaker bed, created in partnership with KEF, will be presented in tandem with Savoir classics such as the Virginia and Ian models.
Further design highlights within the space include handcrafted furnishings and lighting from fellow British makers such as Corston, Faolchú, and Galvin Brothers. George Smith armchairs will be positioned next to seating by Tom Faulkner and metal and marble tables, while premium textiles such as Pierre Frey bouclé and horsehair fabric from British weaver John Boyd have been intentionally incorporated throughout the space.
Savoir’s 200 Lexington showroom debuted on March 30th, joining their flagship NYC location in SoHo and marking a significant milestone in the brand’s U.S. expansion as the first of several strategic openings planned for 2026. Visit the new showroom in Suite 611.
