2026 KIPS BAY DECORATOR SHOW HOUSE NEW YORK OPENS AT 80 WASHINGTON PLACE

The 2026 Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York has officially opened its doors, unveiling the work of twenty-two of the nation’s most celebrated designers within the storied townhouse at 80 West Washington Place in the heart of Greenwich Village. Now in its 51st year, the annual design event transforms one of Manhattan’s most distinctive residences into a creative showcase, with each room offering a unique vision from today’s leading design talent. The New York Design Center is once again proud to sponsor the show house. Tickets are available for purchase here through October 15, 2026, with proceeds benefiting the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.

This year’s Show House unfolds across six levels, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the residence in its entirety, from its grand entertaining spaces and private terraces to its dedicated wellness level and rooftop deck overlooking Washington Square Park. The 1839 Georgian townhouse, which has counted famed composer John Philip Sousa among its former residents, provides a backdrop for this year’s designers, pairing its preserved architectural character with a contemporary collection of interiors, art, and outdoor spaces.

In addition to the twenty-two designers and architects participating in this year’s Show House, Kips Bay has partnered for the first time with art historian, advisor, and curator Gay Gassmann to curate a collection featuring exclusively American artists for the staircase. The collection adds another layer of storytelling and celebration of the depth and diversity of American artistic talent. Gassmann’s selections invite visitors to experience art as an integral part of the home, embracing color, creativity, and joy alongside the interiors created by this year’s design talent.

Beyond its role as a design landmark, the Show House serves a greater mission as the signature fundraiser for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. For more than five decades, the event has raised over $35 million in support of the organization’s life-changing educational and enrichment programs for young people throughout New York City.

Renowned designer Bunny Williams returns as Honorary Show House Chair, alongside Co-Chairs Jamie Drake and Alexa Hampton, with Andrew Torrey serving as Vice Chair. Galerie Magazine serves as the Show House’s national media partner.
