Cosulich interiors in collaboration with Matlight: this bespoke creation designed by Stefano Rubertelli is named Magritte, as a transposition from Art to Design of René Magritte’s “The battle of the Argonne”. The main elements of this painting, cloud, moon, rock, are ideally merged in the shape of this light sculpture, handcrafted out of a monolith made of Carrara marble.
The design, Minimalist yet natural and effortlessly sophisticated, has a movement that brings warmth and creates an inviting space, giving the feeling that it can float in the air. It is fitted with 2-light sources at the bottom and on the upper surface, with the result of a dynamic and functional piece of surreal design. Its small height makes it suitable to be mounted near the ceiling, almost as flushmounts.
Stefano Rubertelli is an Italian product designer who lives in London, with an extensive background in art and sculpture.
This piece is also available in green Guatemala marble.
