Join Business of Home’s Dennis Scully for a thoughtful and wide-ranging conversation with an all-star lineup of accomplished creatives from across the design world: product designer Emma Finch of Hector Finch, interior designer Sheila Bridges, architect Annabelle Selldorf and New York Magazine design editor Wendy Goodman. Together, this powerful quartet will reflect on what it takes to start, scale and sustain thriving careers—without ever losing sight of the style and artistry that inspired them in the first place.
Drawing on decades of experience, the panel will discuss the mentors and role models who paved the way; what it means to define success on one’s own terms; and how to navigate growth while staying grounded. Lively and enlightening, it promises to be a candid yet encouraging exploration of influence, leadership, and the enduring impact of creative direction in shaping a meaningful career.

RSVPFor her debut collaboration with KAIA Editions in the United States, Pauline Leprince presents Beneath the Surface, a series of sculptural metal and glass works that explore the tension between appearance and inner reality. The collection includes a console, mirror, and lamp, where burnt metal bears the irreversible trace of fire and glass introduces fragility, transparency, and light. Moving beyond the decorative, these pieces confront the viewer with material, memory, and vulnerability. Together, they offer a powerful reflection on identity, exposure, and the emotional depth beneath the surface.
RSVPLeftbank Art invites you to a special Women in Design open house celebrating the work of three visionary designers whose practices embody collaboration, artistry, and thoughtful design: Catherine Freshley, Mary Elizabeth Marvin, and Nikki Chu. RSVPThe Angela Chair was designed by Aristeu Pires in memory of Angela—an architect, a close friend, and a pivotal presence in his life and career. After her passing, Aristeu was struck by the idea that a person is only remembered as long as their name continues to be spoken. Together, the experience asks the audience to reflect on how legacy is built, carried forward, and kept alive through artistic expression.

Three powerhouse leaders—Veronica Schnitzius, President of American Leather; Helen Cho, Senior Director of Marketing for SKS and LG Pro Builder; and Jill Cohen, Editor in Chief of LUXE Interiors + Design and Founder & Principal of Jill Cohen & Associates—represent three distinct paths to success: immigrant and first-generation determination, global brand-building expertise, and founder-turned-editorial leader all at the forefront of the design industry. Each has built influence differently, confronted obstacles uniquely, and, as mothers and culture-builders, redefined what power looks like on her own terms.
