Highlighting UMO from the Stylex Collection
Designer Brandon Walker playfully combined geometry and form in the Umo collection for Stylex.
As much a sculptural object as an accent table, Umo adds utility and visual warmth to any space. Designer Brandon Walker playfully combined geometry and form in the fully wood piece, juxtaposing curved shapes with angular cutouts. Yet perhaps the most beguiling is the unexpected detail, including the pillar-like legs that rise up to form arched porticos where they meet the table’s underside.
“An exercise in minimalism and material purity, we strove to create an ambiguous object that lies between sculptural and functional,” says designer Brandon Walker. “Taking inspiration from the iconic arches found in a de Chirico painting, the table’s architectural, minimalist form is both quiet and bold.”
Umo lends function and texture to lounges, work nooks, and spaces that blur the lines between residential and commercial. It can serve as an occasional table or a beautiful sculpture.
