WOW!house 2026 Themes and Variations at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour

WOW!house, the highly anticipated international event that draws a global audience to experience the best of interior design and architecture in a showhouse, built from the ground up at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbor is now open through July 2. The New York Design Center is proud to celebrate the 200 Lex showrooms participating in this year’s WOW!house.

In its fifth year, the inspiring month-long event welcomes visitors to immerse themselves in the original visions of world-class interior designers and architects. Working in collaboration with world-renowned brands, A-listers and rising stars alike have created 22 full-size rooms and outdoor spaces that spark wide-ranging conversations about the current spirit of design – and what comes next.

Visit these 200 Lex showrooms at WOW!house including: The Benjamin Moore Minhwa Salon by Young Huh, Munder Skiles Courtyard by Richard Miers, Schumacher Dining Room by Max Rollitt, and Perennials and Sutherland Garden Terrace by Fettle Design. 200 Lex participating partners include: Hector Finch and Corston.

This year’s WOW!house reveals a set of defining themes running through the work of its designers.

Fluidity shapes the spatial mood, with curved walls, round spaces, and interior architecture suggesting movement, alongside classical Georgian and Art Deco references — and a turn toward futurism where those give way.

Cocooning is a counterpoint: wall-to-wall fitted carpets, tented ceilings, and fabric-wrapped rooms designed to feel like sanctuaries.

Surprise is built in — hidden doors, tucked alcoves, niches, and rooms within rooms reward the curious visitor.

Culture runs deep, with designers drawing on art, collecting, and historical precedent with real sophistication.

The arrival sequence has been reimagined as a true collaboration this year, with a designer, architect, and landscape architects creating a dialogue between the Entrance Garden, main Facade, and a new Garden Folly — a charming jewel-box addition with a facade by Darren Price of Adam Architecture and an interior by Studio Enass.

Above all, WOW!house 2026 is defined by quiet drama, fanciful flourishes, and a genuine delight in spaces that move you.
